1979 Rick and I were asked if we would be judges on the annual Basingstoke Carnival Queen contest which turned out be a hilarious weekend in my home town. Two years later they invited me again and this time Micky Moody joined me on the judging panel and this turned out to be an even funnier night when we got the numbers of the contestants mixed up.
