BLOG 70 October 2011

So Blog 70 already… how time flies.

As always it’s been a busy month in Bobsworld.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Hong Kong and China for 4 days with Maksim, my favourite classical pianist friend who was over there to play for eight minutes for the launch of a couple of new Buick cars. Actually it was two days on an aeroplane getting to and from the middle of China, one days rehearsal and one night for the show. But lovely people over there and it was nice to meet up with a couple of really good friends from the Chinese record company.

My dear Uncle Bill went into hospital two weeks ago and I managed to get down to Winchester to visit him along with my sister Christine who’s over here on holiday from her home in Virginia USA. His 104th birthday is at the end of this month and he’s such a lovely man who has never lost his sense of humour.

Alan Lancaster rang me again yesterday. It’s really good to talk so often with a friend who goes back 44 years. Always lots to chat about.

The new Status Quo cinematic documentary continues to be filmed. The director and his crew head off to America this week to do some interviews. It’s going to be brilliant I know and I’m sure every fan old and new is going to love it. It’s all very exciting stuff….

Rockard merchandising range is coming along a little slower than I’d hope but other things have had to take a priority but we’ll get there.

This will be a shorter than usual Blog this month as I’m trying to keep on top of so much work now that my Irish artist Ciaran Gribbin (aka Joe Echo) has just been announced as the new singer of the legendary Australian band INXS I’ll give you a full report of the shows in my next Blog. Please check him out and give him your support on facebook, twitter and any shows you can get along to next year. As you can tell I’m very excited and very proud of him.

So catch up in Blog 71 and thanks for checking into my website and will soon have 150,000 visitors. Amazing. Thanks Jurgen and every one of you.
